Viparita Karani, or Legs up the Wall Pose

This pose is a catch-all for so many modern issues: long day, poor circulation, after/before travel, to find some rest… ...It’s just the best. Note that I’ve drawn a wall up there to show that you can rest your legs there. We didn’t have a way to show the wall on the @yogajournal shoot, so I decided to use a block to show a different execution. *If your legs are against the wall*, 🚫 don’t use the block 🚫. In this case, you would seek to release the low back and thigh bones as much as possible for as long as you’re comfortable there. Like the next pose, #savasana, longer is for the most part better.
