Chakra 5
Please see an overview of the Chakras in the Chakra 1 post.
Chakra 5 is constituted by the waves of sound that transmute and concretize into the body through the process of occurring and then echoing through the body. This happens via the eardrums, which sound the internal wave from the external one. The spaces and small bones of the ears create an echo chamber the way caves, caverns, ravines, and other natural formations do in the world.
Sound waves are harder than light waves but lighter than air, fire, water, or matter waves. It is helpful to study the chakras by listening to them.
The awareness of the 5th chakra is to say the truth that you are (4th chakra), or your truth (3rd chakra), without causing harm.
Harm is energy almost always stemming from the demon of the 1st chakra, fear. It is experienced internally as much as externally. There is ultimately no separation between the two.
You can say just about anything anytime you want, which gives your words tremendous power. It is important to remember that words as internal narratives have almost as much impact as those enunciated.
There is an inverse energetic relationship between the externalization of your own sound (your words) and the internalizing of any outside sound into your body. You exhale your words as you send them out wherever they land or to whomever they touch. They leave you immediately. When you listen, you are inhaling and exhaling. Listening is a more embodied practice than speaking.
Soundwaves are energies, and energies form patterns in the body as elsewhere; you thus hear much of what you’re familiar with, what resonates. We’ve all experienced being uncomfortable with the sound of someone’s voice. Listening to anything new takes openness, quite literally, inside the ears; risk tolerance; resilience; and relaxation/rest.
The relationship between the female 2nd and 5th chakras may be the most powerful in the body and demands attention and care, just as does the male 1st and 4th chakra relationship.
