Here is where to buy which props

It would be ideal if, as an Iyengar student, you could go to one place to buy all of the high-quality, generally precise and mostly organic props that you need for a well supported practice. But I haven’t found that location! If anyone knows of one, I would welcome the pro(p) tip 😀!

For now, here’s where to get the basics for your safe, siphoned off, easily organizable props for a 1-7x a week yoga practice:

  • toolsforyoga.net is a great place that has yoga kits, one for regular practice and one for restorative. We of course recommend the restorative yoga kit because it’s tricked out!

  • From toolsforyoga.net, you can also go a la carte:

    • One or two pune belts, which are of course on back order. We will research and see if we can find a place that can get them faster. Or google and let us know!

      • Two belts are better than one!

    • Two yoga blocks

    • A yoga chair

    • Up to four or five yoga blankets

      • There are other places to buy blankets. If you’re really going for it, you can google the “Pune blankets”. We will also do that and update this list with at least one link we find that looks good.

  • A bolster. We recommend innerspaceyoga.net for bolsters. Read their guide, and buy a flat one for pranayama or restoratives, and round ones for supported backbends.

We assume you have a mat! Toolsforyoga.net but Manduka mats are great, too, as are Jade mats.
