1. Chakra 6 is light, which is transmitted most directly and influentially through the eyes into the brain and body. Light, of course, is felt and experienced elsewhere in every way, as the sun (3rd chakra) provides the energy for life to exist on earth. Light through the eyes is processed into information to form the knowledge or wisdom “body,” which in Sanskrit is called Vijnamayakosha. Knowledge and wisdom—what you know from both experience and intuition—are the roots of this wheel of energy.

2. Intuition is a critical aspect of the eyes and 6th chakra’s universal energy. Intuition is 6th chakra, intellect 7th. The 1/3/5/7 masculine channel can and will value intellect over intuition, as intellect is at the top. One might ponder the benefits from a patriarchal perspective of blunting any rising value of intuition in an ego (3rd)-mic (5th)-based pursuit of the right answer, right path, or right way. The Salem Witch Trials are an archetypal example of such abrogation. When intuition and “seeing” clearly is undervalued and even trivialized, those on the 2/4/6 channel may find difficulties expressing truth (5th). 

3. Iconography, icons, idols, myths, and Hollywood are the manifestations of the 6th chakra.

4. One might ask that if light moves at a certain speed, how does light turn into understanding and thus a specific kind of mapping, and of becoming, in the brain? What you experience as the relationship between light and your own intelligence is a good exercise for the 6th chakra.
